The Mission and Outreach committee’s purpose is to encourage, equip, and assist the congregations of Presbytery to fulfil Christ’s Great Commission “to go into all the world”, both alone and in partnership with each other within the larger church.
Consistent with this purpose, the committee’s tasks include:
- Support missions (home and abroad)
- Promote missionary awareness
- Develop strategy and encourage partnership in new church and present church development
- Process partnership funding requests and manage “lending fund” partnership issues
- Promote Presbyterians Sharing and Presbyterian World Service and Development
- Encourage stewardship and mission support
- Raise awareness of social justice issues
